HRP 2.2.07...First Time @ the Track..Ever

So...i went out to Houston Raceway Park Friday with my bro..we met Venom Power up there along with FastblackSRT..like Venom POwer said in previous thread..a couple other VTCOA guys were out there too. Ran at the track tonite for the first time ever..ended up doing pretty well i think..1st run was against a 07' TrailBlazer SS 2wd, his was bone stock to the paper filter...still had the temps tags on it..i have a Dual in dual out 2.25" flowmaster on stock exhaust piping and a K&N filter...he killed me as you can see from my first run time of 14.23 @101..he ran a 13.3....truck was real quick. i had a horrible launch and he pulled about 5 links out of the hole on me..anyways my 2nd run was better with a 13.78 @ 102... my 3rd run was against a 95 5.0 Stang.. had a nice hole shot "ahh thank you", and decided to power shift it...2nd was great, 3rd was great and i had about 6 cars on the GT and then i missed 4th...:dontknow: ...and ran a 13.89 @ 99...my third and final run was my best and its one of the happiest times ive ever had in the truck since purchasing it..my reaction time was the best of the night and i launched it great...i new it was my best time but when i saw the slip afterwards with 13.13 @ 105, i just about shat myself!:bootyshake: I decided to end the night on a good note and leave it at that..had a great time watch others race and hangin out with the others VTCoA guys...hope we can do it again sometime...

Oh..i almost forgot..i met a guy out there friday waiting to race that use to have a SRT10 Ram..he still had a Volant CAI with the Ram Air System and a magnaflow 3" cat back..he said he wanted $300 for the cat back and said to make an offer on the Volant..i told him i would give him $500 for the pair...and he accepted....man i got a steal from this guy...i think thats around $1000-$1100 worth of stuff, isnt it??i met up with him sunday after noon to purchase...got the parts...exhaust system was in good condition.. along witht the CAI..took the truck right to the muffler shop and installed it..I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! SOUNDS FANTASTIC!!!installed the Volant Ram Air CAI...man that was well worth it..i could feel a huge difference...i believe i could possibly dip in the 12's with what i got now...well see...to be continued!!!!

Great run Faslane505 are you going to post the vid? It was great meeting some of the other guys usually when I go to HRP I am the only SRT out there. So it was great seeing 5-6 out there!!

I just pulled the Volant off of had_to_have_it (Zollie's) QC, put the stock air box back on and ordered the K & N drop-in for him. You ought to do a search and see some of the real-world numbers from the Volant...:dontknow:

honestly the volant is just looks. my friend had it in a 05 r/c and it made no differance really. but still the combo is more than worth it.

Slow91...i took off my box about a month ago and put a 10" cone K&N on it.. and i noticed a nice difference....when i put the Volant on..i could feel another big difference with this Ram Air CAI...ive read about how most members use it and they cant really feel a boost in power...but i could automatically feel it..i dunno????
