After hours of scrolling through our interesting Monday thread (thanks viperhauler and network!) ;) Ive decided to address the problem!

Now when i get home from work im going to jack her up and get under her but, yesterday in this awsome 118 degree L.A. weather, my hydraulic cooler or a power steering line went out on me and dumped all the ATF oil out! (I thought i was in Top Gun and just kicked on the afterburner! :elefant: LOL Has this happened to anyone else??? Im just hoping someone can point me in the right direction so i dont have to put ATF oil in, just for it to dump on my chest like a Chinese fetish film!:dontknow:

FYI i already put Stinkers P/S & Cooler line in! and the leak looks like it coming from the cooler. not the P/S pump.

Thanks for any input! its greatly appreciated!:D

if im not mistaken the fitting that goes into the cooler has a o-ring on it. check it and make sure it may have broke or was missing.

it its at the cooler its basically the return system, check the lines at the area make sure theere is no cracks, also like alabama redneck says, there couplings have o rings, make sure the couplings and o rings are in good shape

Thanks Tony! If they are bad do you have a kit or somethin? Could i find these o-rings in my standard o-ring kit?

It will be a 900 series O-ring for ORB type fittings. If I remember right you will need a 906. You can get them at any parts place Im sure.

THANKS BUD FOR THE INPUT! SO FAR IVE DEGREASED THE MOTOR AND ENGINE BAY WHILE I WAS AT IT. TODAY IM GONNA TAKE THE HOSES OFF AND CHECK THE O-RINGS!

IF ANYONE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM, I BLEW A O-RING OUT OF THE FAN INPUT HOSE. I JUST USED A BONDED SEAL FOUND AT NAPA OR LOCAL HYDRAULIC HOSE SHOP, JTS ALSO HAS THEM (BRASS WASHER WITH A VITON RUBBER SEAL ON THE INSIDE) ALSO USED AS A DRAIN PLUG WASHER. IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM AND IS FAR BETTER THAN USING A RUBBER O-RING! THANKS EDDIE, YELLOWFEVER AND TONY FOR YOUR HELP!!! IT WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

we started with a o ring in the power steering line the one that goes from the fan to the steering rack, they seem to after awhile break down, so we now like he says , use a different washer gasket, its basically a flat washer with a oring on the inside like a drain plug gasket, you can pick them up for a buck to two at the local auto parts, but if ya need shoot me a pm and will shoot one to ya, jsut not sure it would be there by friday:eek:
