I finally made it to the drag strip which is about 10 miles from my house. Rockfalls Raceway had their 2nd "musclecar" day today. There were alot of sweet looking cars and a couple trucks. I was the only Ram SRT10. There were a couple built SS454 with drag slicks running high 12's. I am very happy with my outcome. This day, the track managers did not prep the starting line at all other than running a push broom from time to time. On Muscle car days and sport compact days, the VHT stays in the shed. So, with a pretty slick staging area, it was still a blast!

My air pressure was 50 front and 20 rear. I would do a 2nd gear start burn out in the water box to get all of the sand and crap off the tires. I prefered to stage fairly shallow in the lights with my truck today. I got to make 8 passes, ranging from a 13.145 to a 13.325. I redlighted once with a -.016, and my best light was not that great today with a .095. I have entered my data on the timeslip page and I have uploaded my timeslip, but the link is not showing up?????????????

The weather and conditions today were not ideal either. We had to deal with a 10-20mph headwind and temps were in the upper 70's. I did not notice any improvement with folding in the door mirrors and removing the tailgate, so I will not bother with those next time.

Bolt on some slicks, and a supercharger and you will be even more surprised!

Sounds great, glad to see a RC posting some decent #'s with street tires and just a buncha bolt on's.

I am guessing that if I were to put on some decent slicks, I could improve my 60ft time from the current 2.0x to a 1.7x on an unprepped starting line.

I have to get to the track on a bracket day when they put down VHT all day long! To put it into perspective, with my STI (posi front and rear, and dunlop supersport race tires...utqg 80!) my best 1/4 mile was about .5 second quicker on a VHT prepped start than on an unprepped day. I am sure I could get a 1.8x with my factory tires.

My experience (which is not much) is every .1 improvement in the 60foot is about a .25 improvement in the 1/4 mile. Then there is the headwind.....that has got to have taken off a significant amount from my ET. Plus the temperatur....mid 70's is not ideal for making power(but it is better than 90!)

Call me a liar, but I am betting that IF; it were 55degreesF, VHT on start, no wind......I would be well into the 12's. Hopefully it works out for me before my next mod!

enough typing......YES, I WOULD LIKE SLICKS AND A SUPER CHARGER....DO YOU WANT TO TRADE TRUCKS?:D Mine has a fresh bottom end and under 14,000 miles on it! Plus it's got a sound system loud enough to drowned out the full 3" catless exhaust at warp speed!

Thank you!
