I broke the SRT-10 RC Last Night

i was heading out last night for some late night ricer stomping and was only about a mile from my house...i was slowing down to take a right turn. i had the truck in 2nd and had my foot on the clutch cause is was trying to get a pack of ciggarettes out of my pocket and i had to strect out to get my hand in my pocket.. well im a short guy so i had my pedals moved up 2-3inches or so (when the pedals are moved up then they dont hit the firewall when you press the clutch) i was streching out and had all my weight on the clutch trying to get to my pockets and POP!!! i had broke to clutch quadrant.. that fisheye white composite peice that hooks to the clutch..it was just shattered...i really wasnt too mad. worst part really about it is that i towed it to the dealership thismorning and they wont even look at it until next week. so no truck for a while..has anyone else ever had that happen to them or ever heard about it happening..or did i just make history>?????

I think I might of cracked mine, but I have a heavy-ass foot with a matching leg to boot. I am looking to save up for the hydraulic/clutch upgrade kit.
 
Confucious say don't use clutch for leg stretcher :p I never pushed my clutch further than a few inches so never happened to me..... hmmm maybe that's how it got fried lol
 
hmm, well can't you just order the part and fix it yourself? I hate waiting. and I dont think thats a warranty issue.
 
Yeah, ive heard of it like 3 times before, the truck masters have plastic 'plungers' while the viper car hydraulics have metal ones...another reason to swap upgrade and do the swap...
 
AWDisuzu or anyone really...you dont think thats covered by a warranty...i dont see why its not...this is the first bit of work ive had done at the factory since ive had it...if they dont cover it...what kind of price tag am i looking at to fix her?
 
Yeah you just made history. That's where smoking gets you so you ought to quit. In order not to be too upset when something breaks on your rather delicate beast I suggest you start drinking..... HEAVILY!!... excuse me.. 968.....
 
There is cheap ass plasctic in the brake pedal as well....I broke that and the pedal moves from side to side....1.5" each way....like pushing down on a roller skate....warranty covered an entire new pedal assembly...

Yeah it's just the foot and leg that's heavy :rolleyes: :eek:

Nice...thanks..dont have to get prepaired to pay for it then...
 
also...has anyone blown there infinity system in there SRT.. my speakers are cracklin and the amp get like 1500 Celcius...maybe not that hot..but you get my drift. is that under warranty?
 
NBT broke his I believe. I think he posted about it too.
 
Give Boomer a call. I think he made or had a metal replacement for the person who broke theirs a while back.
