I saw one in Panama City Beach, Florida at Pier Park. Pier Park is large shopping center/restaurant plaza. Some of the GTG folks went there to Margarittaville. Anyway, the security for that place have one. It has red and blue lights and even a siren. I guess it saves the security guy a lot of foot steps during his shift.
 
what happens if he has to chase someone into a subway, or a building? can you just hop on that thing and steal it???

There are a few used in the MIA airport by the county, and the cops use something similar but has three wheels
 
There are a lot of those things being used by security around here. Even the local Target security uses one in the parking lot.

I love how they have to wear a helmet...

The Sherrif's dept has two of them here, they love them. They say they generate alot of interaction with the citizens becasue of the uniquness of them and that helps with the overall opinion of the dept...makes sense I guess.
