After about a year of seeing that "Lamp Out" light on my dash night and day I just couldn't take it anymore. I spent some time in the garage today and solved the issue. There was unused OEM bulb connectors sitting aside behind the headlight enclosures after my HID install. So I plugged the left over 9007 bulbs in them before building a shroud housing around the bulbs with high temp, non conductive kapton tape from work. The bulbs were then secured with zip ties by the plastic connectors to the truck body behind the headlights, away from wires, rubber or plastic. After re-assembling the headlight enclosures I turned the key on and off about 12 times and started her up. The HID headlights and HID foglights came on but the lamp out light went off. I took her for a couple mile spin and no problems. Thanks to Steve at Xenon Depot for explaining HID operation to me. Now finally after a year that pesky lamp out indicator is no more.
I didn't post this in the DIY section because I didn't take pictures and this isn't step by step detailed.
