Ahhh, I have done that before. Took my last Z06 in for a hood and tigershark bumper and couple months later got it back with a LPE427, HRE wheels and mini tubs, brakes, Spec 3 clutch, so on and so on....

Well needless to say, this is not normal. Something is wrong and just slapping a new/reground crank, bearings and a couple rods in it will not address the root cause.

Make sure that they determine what caused the failure. Remember John Hennessey stated that these engines have a oiling problem with the number 2 rod journal.

I agree completely...someone did something wrong and I'd make them figure it out so it doesn't happen again a month from now...that's total BS.

no it doesnt. i think that one of the rods was to tight or installed incorrectly. he had oil pressure, for a fair amount of time, thats why i am thinking what i am. the extended run time on the freeway is what did it in. not enough clearance on that/those rods siezed her up, and then caused the oil pressure spike.
