i am boggled and confused........................... i dont know what eles to try or do !

i have cked all the connections to make sure they are connected


any ideas would be great

no - i was throwing other o2 codes, ... for high voltage on both senors

after replacing the o2 i started with the codes - now i have replaced them again and took another step in buyin the extenders,.. after installing the new sensors and extenders,.. still same code

i dont know what eles to try

Beyond me...one of our resident Chrysler techs might chime in..otherwise you need to see a dealer that can hook the StarScan up and see whats happening..

Try swapping the 02 sensor from bank 1 to bank 2 and 2 to1 see if the problem follows the sensor. If you have already done this remove the extender from the system and connect direct if possible. Make sure the extender doesn't have a bad connection doesn't take much to break a wire off of one of these pins. If you are unable to plug to o2s in without the the extenders after you swap 02s and have not found the problem swap the extenders. You need to clear the codes after each test to be sure your not seeing an old code. I take it your getting this code immediately after you turn the key on?

swapign the 02's are not a prob but gettin to that pass. side top 02 plug is a apita... it not easy

ne one have a easer way on swaping out the extenders ?

Try a Jeep dealer if separate from the Chrysler dealer...they both use same diagnostic equipment..

Weird, I just went through this.

My 2006 put the check engine light on for heated O2 sensor failure. But, the sensor was reading voltage on 2 different aftermarket scanners (Innova and a Snap-On).

I reset the check engine light a couple of times to clear the code, and it turned out after rechecking the sensors and the harness going to the sensors, the problem was a bad TIPM (total integrated power module). It's a circuit board that handles power relays, which includes the heated O2 sensors.

The Chrysler dealer has a better scanner that can diagnose the failure and in some cases reflash the TIPM. Mine had to be replaced, in a 2006, the part is around $400. It turned out my truck had a couple of weeks of warranty left, so Dodge gave it to me.
