The mids aren't put together...here is what I got....2 high flow cats...the mids...two O2 bungs.....and to O2 wiring extensions. Now I have no freakin clue if I have to cut the mids and put the cats on or what...and where the hell do the two O2 bungs go? I figured it would've came all assembled. I emailed Boomer yesterday but have not got a response. Anybody wanna help a lost brotha????

I mean I got a IKEA Gift Box hahahahaha! I'm not sure why it came unassembled, but I'll give the man a call!

Ok Great one, lets get started, when you remove your stock mids, lay them beside the X-metal ones, you want the front O2 bungs close to the same location, very close, I am assuming you are using sims for the rear O2's , if not do the same with the rear.

I also suspect Gary sent you pipes to use with or without cats , so also measure to be sure this is true. If so find a straight part of the pipe and cut it there, now how much you cut will depend on the type clamps you will use. If the pipe will slide into the cats or not also, so take tiime in measureing this part. other than that you should be good to go.

Gracias Stink,
No sims in the back, I'm assuming I don't need them with the two Magnaflow cats. I gotta wait for a 5" adapter piece to show up from Gary, I guess one of the midpipes is shorter than the other one so it won't work without the adapter piece.

I heard that the OEM exhaust is very restrictive. From what I have seen on the internet the Magnaflow exhaust suppose to be the best exhaust for the RAM SRT-10? :withstupid:

By the way Volant Intakes if I recall is also a great intake? :dontknow:

bro, when your brother ordered that stuff as a gift for you, i told him our mids DID NOT COME WITH CATS. we didnt design a template for them with cats, so we dont have a way of fixturing in the cats.
he said to send what you would need to have a muffler shop fab the cats in with bungs and 02 extension leads, as the new cats wouldnt be in the same location as the stock setup. you muffler guy will install the mid pipes, then mark and weld in the cats and bungs, then install the original 02 sensors, and plug the extension leads into them & into the harness. its a straighforward job any muffler shop can knock out easy, since we already have the mid pipes bent up for them. if you have any questions, call us either at X-Metal 812-453-4862 or at Superbike Shop 812-477-1740 some one can track me down at one of the locations.

The MagnaFlow is the most popular and sounds great.I recommend the high flow cats or catless mid-pipes to remove the restriction. The Volant is very expensive and may or may not be better than stock.A lot of people are just using a drop-in replacement 'air cleaner' (K&N,AirRaid, etc).I have a K&N 'intake kit' (again very expensive for what it does),but I like the sound.

The above statement is exactly how I feel has well.
