Congratulations!! A job well done!
I'm not even going to make any smart-ass comments about the pisser! (But ask me sometime what we used to do to n00b pilots and NFO's with the MAD boom and the pisser!)
I just want to tell you thank you for your service to America. While you are out there flying around remember this:
It is a very dangerous thing that you do, potentially 20+ men/women will be relying on you to keep them safe. Keep your head on a swivel, and never let your guard down. That airframe is getting tired and things are bound to go wrong, but with your training and knowledge, YOU have the ability to keep them all safe!
Don't be afraid to knock the pilot on the back of the helmet if you need his attention!!
Listen to what the other crew members are saying, don't ever discount a warning sign, even if it comes from the most junior crewman! Everybody sees things in a different way, what you miss someone else may see with ease! And if what they see is nothing, don't make them feel stupid or belittle them, the next time they might ignore something that is really wrong! (I've seen it happen!)
Always obey the crew rest policy!! (Flying drunk with severe bronchitis from a hard night in Palma Majorca is not fun!! {or so I have been told. :angel:}
Fly safe, and know that those of us back here on American soil are proud of you, and all that you do. (except that time in Thailand....nevermind..) You are the reason that we sleep at night without fear, without the sound of incoming missiles and bombs, without oppression, with freedom and liberties known only here in America!!
Fair winds and following seas!
