The insert in the "hood scoop" on my truck doesn't fit quite right. The forward edge sticks up a little bit from the hood. Anybody know the best way to fix that? I tried tightening the "bolts" on the underside, but they don't seem too strong and I didn't want to over-tighten anything.

It drives me crazy! And I would love to be able to fix it...

TIA

You're probably going to have to take it out and sand the underneath side to let it sit lower. That should work, but in case it doesn't, get a six pack of beer and a BFH and try that...:D

Sounds like I will need a six pack either way...

Better start drinking now...

There is a sponge/rubber strip under insert....it may be twisted. Carefull with clips at front - they seem to go flying wildly.

I would like to have a blank hole rather than the plastic mesh...but removing it leaves a very unfinished edge...

Getting a little crazy here...but I would like to have a black hole there...it would be better if there was a faint red glow from it, but I think LEO would not like me having a red light facing forward...

Anyone achieved a "black hole"???

Wow, I bet that would piss off John Law...! I just want a faint glow...

Billy...I need you to do my hood intake, and my my rear tail lights...

Tell me what you want to do them...then I am going to ask Alex if she will cut a deal for me!

On my hood we just cut out the mounting tabs, and smoothed over the area, as for the tail lights there is a place just up the road from DTS that did mine for $75.00.

I think Alex will say, just have Chris and Alez go on a big shopping spree.:D
