I like that suv!! I should get a cherkokee srt8 for my girl....hmm...or that suv. Haha.
 
Hennessy is a hack! does half ass shit, charges three times what its worth and takes 12 times longer to get it back, and 27 times longer to take it somewhere for someone else to get it right

That about sums it up...I bet if you went to the Viper Alley you would hear about the same thing...except he would read it and rant and rave, but never disagree.
 
So he put a sts turbo on the jeep? I doubt he bulletproof the engine or did any pcm work. Im not suprised the stock convertor burnt out, it was nvr meant to handle that kind of power with hard launches back to back.

I hope tim mcgraw plans on waiting 2 years. His jeep is prolly sitting in a corner stripped by now.
 
Hennessey is a F'ing waste of skin that screws more people than he satisfies. He screwed Walt over many times.

What gets me is how these ()&*(%(&$(*^_)(*&(%^&$%, well you get the idea, automotive rags keep promoting this asshole.

Even people that have worked for him have told stories how he screws his customers over.

I personally no longer buy the monthly rags because of this. They are all the same.

Now that I think about it. Has a Hennessey vehicle ever competed in one of the magazines tests or competitions without breaking? I don't know of any, and he always has an excuse, and an easy fix.
 
John Hennessey is living on a long past ill begotten reputation. In five years he will gone from the scene...it is impossible to continue to do poor work and survive...
 
I have kept my mouth shut up till now and I am not going to bring this up again, but my dealings with the said person have been fine. Until I did some searching I never knew of all the horor stories. With me he told me what he could do how long it would take and how much it would cost. All was done and he even through in some extra's. He also told me what was going to happen next, and it did. Maybe I just got lucky...
 
Everybody that has sent there ride to him for one of his "big hp" packages ended up selling their rides and taking a major loss after they got them back.

From the stories I have read, if you are a local and can drop into the shop at any time, you will probably be fine. If you ship him your vehicle you are dog meat.

Hmmmmm my understanding is he wont need his rep that long since no one pays heed to a track owner and lots of has-beens have race parks and ppl could care less who they are
As for doing poor work and sticking around . I see that all the time in the car world. I get lots of F'ed up stuff come in for repairs yet some of these guys have been hacking shit up for years and still they are there ,some even grow .
Hell look at AIM they have been around for years and just keep coming up with new divisions with differant names (Shell Companies ) they now are one of the biggest but there is a Anti-AIM web site so I guess with them cheap exceedes stupidity .
I think for some it's more about name recognition, ya know ,if they got in a mag ,,,,they gotta be good . I have even lost jobs because the other guy was in a mag that month and I wasnt so I can't be as good ,right ??

that about sums that up. what do the srt jeeps go for at the stealerships. i want to bring one home "for my wife" (if i say that she might be less pissed off)
