but the deal is , cam runs around $600 or so, custom $750
but with it you need to change the valve springs, another $400 or so, and with that push rods, another $200 or so, those are a must, cant run an aftermarket cam with out springs. then you would need some custom tuning, another $1000 by the time you are done.
but if you decided to do heads a good honest port and polish job runs 3k, another $400 in gaskets, and yhou might as well change the valves while there so anohter $400 or so depending. if you want striker heads, your looking at $7500 jsut for the heads.
now the problem with these motors is the pistons are very very weak, eventually they fail under pressure.
but if you want a quick easy bang ffor the buck then NOS is quick and easy, probably end up with about a $1000 in the system.
now 9k is alot for me , havent made that much in the pocket all year
