I Need Your Guys Opinion on My Truck

Fellas,

Ok here is the situation, I am very very very happy with my truck, and would kill anyone if anything happened to it. But I got problems now, first Walt decided to see if he could sell is truck at a 2nd hand store price, then I drove a Grand Cherokee SRT-8. I would love to have Walts truck and could possibly buy it by next week, but...I drive my truck almost everyday for about 30 miles. Now this couldn't be good for a TT truck right? Then my dumbass decided to go test drive a SRT-8 Grand Cherokee, and it blew me away. I thought it was faster than my truck even with the mods I have on it now. That thing was f'n badass! But do I really need to switch? If anyone of you guys were in my shoes what would you do....keep my truck and mod it more, buy Walt's truck and drive it like I do everyday, or buy a SRT-8 Grand Cherokee? Please please show me a road!!!!!

If you are using it as a daily driver, I wouldn't recommend any highly modified vehicle. You are more likely to have issues, comes with the territory. Now as far as the truck vs the jeep, that comes down to personal preference. I myself thought that the jeep was a little small, just felt cramped to me and I'm a little guy. But it was fun to drive, and the gas mileage has got to be better than the truck. Not sure where you live either, but if you get winter where you are, that would be another point in the jeep column.

Get the Jeep...it is a great ride for everyday driving....I have driven one they are really something...

I use my truck as a daily driver and may mod even more in the future. Walt's truck is a buy of a lifetime, although now that its on EBAY, you may not be able to secure the forum price. Either way, its a steal.

I would choose Walts truck over a SRT-8 JGC.

I do like the Jeep SRT-8 and more than likely will replace my Expedition in the next 2 years with the Jeep SRT-8 but would never replace my SRT-10 with the SRT-8 Jeep

Good morning to all..........

Bobby, he gets about as much winter as they do in Palm Springs. But all in all I think yer right on the money. Also he's get the considerable emotional benefit of buying a brand new vehicle...he already said he loves the Jeep.

But, there's ceratinly alot to be said for owning aincredible monster like Walt's truck. I personally would love it if we, as a group, could provide ways to bail ALL our members into a perfect set of circumstances...Particularly those in dire need.

But in this case, I think as a daily driver I'd have to go with the Jeep too.....

But, I personally wouldn't buy another Chrysler product if it came with hourly oral gratification.

But as everyone knows, I'm pretty conservative in my old age.....

I think if there was ANY way I could buy Walts truck I would buy it. You may never have another chance to buy a truck like that unless you spend the $100K and have it built like Walt did.

Trust me guys, if there was ANY way I could swing it, I would buy Walt's truck. But alas there is no way at all. So someone should get it while the getting is good.

Me - I'd keep the truck simply because I prefer them over SUV's.

You need to decide if you really like the Jeep more than the truck, OR if it's just something 'new' to drive.

I would have to think the 6.1 Hemi, in an all-wheel-drive Jeep, ain't gonna do any better on gas than what you already have. If it does, then it won't be much.

Performance wise, on the street the Jeep will kick some ass with the AWD launch and auto tranny, but the truck has a Viper V-10 and a 6 speed which is a blast to drive. Do you like to do the occasional burnout? Cuz you can forget it with the Jeep. BUT, put yer left foot on the Jeep's brake pedal and right foot on the gas, stall the converter out and let it go - you'll be smilin' . Again - something you have to decide.

IMO, if you are going to use it as a daily driver, stay away from the highly modded vehicles. They tend to require much, much more attention.

If it was a RC with a 6 speed, I'd be real tempted to pick it up, then sell mine. Otherwise, at this point I'm definitley in a position to swing the pricetag - which is a steal IMO!!:rock:

Guys, Has anyone driven a SRT-8 Jeep....from a dead stop....it will pull out of the hole like Mikes truck....hell it might even have a better 60-foot than Mikes Truck...sorry mike...but the jeep is badass...

Not sure what the Jeep feels like to drive but c'mon I think there is no comparison. I think just the power of a Viper motor would make your decision.

If you are concerned with looks whatsovever, and the ability to turn heads, I think you do neither with the Jeep.

Thanks fellas, I'll probably end up just keeping my truck and throw a supercharger on it, I probably won't drive it in the winter....maybe by then business is still good and I'll add on the Jeep!
