iddle ?s

[SRT-10 RAM VIPER]

I've just got my bbk tb installed and iddle is hanging a bit on the rpms. What do you guys recommend i checked everything and it all looks fine. I disconnected the battery to see if that works. Thanks for your responses

After you disconnect the batt turn the key all the way on and slowly go from closed to WOT 3 to 4 times so the TPS can learn the range of the new TB and then start the truck and see what happens. I just installed a ROE TB and did this and it has been perfect since.

I did it before the truck was re started after plugs, coils, and wires and all was good from the start....... I read that procedure elsewhere on this site....

IAC..... I have struggled with the BBK idle surge phenomemon . the best results is to set the idle adjustment screw all the way back until the throttle blades don't stick. The IAC is supposed to do it's job by controlling the idle. The BBK seems to let to much air through and the IAC has trouble adjusting to it. Taking the IAC out and freeing it up seems to help as well. Good luck!

You all need to use a Voltmeter/multimeter to verify you TPS idle setting. This can be relearned in the PCM but much easier to set it correctly to where it was on factory TB. Around .68 volts sir :burnout:

guys its still iddling a bit. I gets back to normal after a minute.

May sound stupid but check the rubber hose that goes from your intake to the TPS (I think its the TPS) on the left side of the throttle body. My truck was doing this after I put the new intake on, saw the hose was kinked, replaced it and no more problems.

IF it is not .68 volts , how is it corrected?
