Ideal Conditions

Hey Walt....Im second or thirding a nomination for your truck as the truck of the month. I know you got pics bro...Now... quit ignoring our nominations and post them up.:D

My thought was an evaporator core mounted in the air box. Have valves in the a/c lines, when you get ready to run just redirect the freon through the evaporator in the air box. What about a dry ice inner cooler. One of my customers has a twin turbo mustang and has some inner cooler plumbing in the trunk. He bought an ice machine to put in his trailer because it uses 7 bags of ice per run to keep the tubing chilled.

you mean you are going to install a water/meth system.....:D

To answer more specifically you don't want any humidity....the dryer the air....the more 02 present....in a good water/meth you have full evaporation.....

The first time I noticed this was last year around this time during the beginning of our monsoon season. Last night the temps were about 77 degrees and relative humidity was around 64%. The truck was running like it just received a B12 shot. It has been around this temp with humidity low and never ran this hard. So the consensus is...Humidity has an adverse effect?

Florida.....heat index of a buck O' six, and 98% humidity.... brutal.
We get a good feel for the mushbox the truck turns into when she's heat soaked. Still quick....but not the screaming animal she is in the winter. Heat soaked is heat soaked.....she is still more sluggish in the summer with the Methanol on, than with it off in the winter on the performance program.IMHO.
Run the Methanol, and your "close" to a cool day again. Mines set to kick in @ 3K through the VECII. And there is a noticable difference with it on (in the summer) vs. off. We dynoed the meth on a cool day...and no gains with it.
I was going to run the dyno soon to see how she does with Meth on vs. off, on a summer day.
If RaceRelated can get me on the dyno, I will see if I can get it done this Wed and let you see the difference via dyno sheet.

For me....my truck left in July-05 it is back June-06.....I missed all the cool air......I really wanted to see the diff but will have to wait till fall of winter this year....if she is back from Boomer......I may be the only 05-QC with less than a 1000 miles...:(:(

Walt

K-80 we are close. I think mine has like 1500 on it. Turned it in July 4th last year for audio install and it all went to shit from there :p The alternator guy did shitty work and it kept throwing belts, I finally said fuck it and stopped driving it until Macedo had time to take it and fix it. Then the STS crap turbo blew my engine and now I'm waiting on PTK to fab parts that fits my QC.
