You definitely have a reason to complain. However, it wouldn't matter to me if it was $2 more. It is the principle. I don't mind paying what is fair, but when housing prices have not gone up the same as the assessment I start to question it. Maybe money comes easy to you, but I work hard for what I have. I don't like to give it away to a government that can't account for how it is spent.

The government not only accounts for every dollar it spends outside of defense it is posted on the web. Spend some time on the gsa website and you can see who gets what and where it goes.

On Maui, when prop values go up drastically, they just change the mulitplier.
