Just made the deposit on a vacation rental at Lake Tahoe for a week in July.

Going to spend a week there with Karen's family that are flying in. After we leave Lake Tahoe, we will head over to San Luis Obispo and then spend the next two weeks heading up the coast.

Going to take the Cobra, so it should be a blast. Just have to pray for dry weather.

Haven't taken this much time off since our daughter got married 3 years ago. Damn, I'm sure looking forward to this trip.

If your driving on in you better stop on by.

My brother came THIS close to buying a Replica Cobra. Lost a ton a money on that deal.

If you drive on in we are on the S side of downtown a couple of exits down 395. Right across the street from the Peppermill Casino/Hotel.

Keep me in mind. Have lunch n a beer. Or a snack n a beer. Or just a beer.

Here is the place we are staying. It's where we stayed for our daughters wedding. Nice place and we know where it's located.

Do you know the area where it's located? How far to where you live?

Yeup.

Thats basically considered South Shore. Ot at least damn close.

Depends on which way you come down. Im assuming S on 395?
If so im on your way.

If your coming down through CA then over on 80 you will probably take the scenic way around Lake Tahoe.

Either way drop me a note a week before you come. Im about 50 min from Zypher.

Highway 50 up from Carson City off 395 is an EFFIN BLAST to drive. Brand new asphalt and 4 lane highway with a middle barrier. High speed sweepers. In the cobra you could possibly wind it up all the way up the hill. Only a couple of hare pins you need to worry about. And thats more coming down than up.

We will be spending the night in Carson City before we head up to Lake Tahoe. Last time we stayed at the Bliss Mansion. We were the last group to stay there before the new owner took posession of the home.

They have another Bed and Breakfast place there also. I think it's called the Bliss Bungalow. My wife likes to stay in at Bed and Breakfast places, so we will probably spend the night there.

So yes, I know the road you are referring to. It's a beautiful drive.

The sad part is that the 18 hour days will not be that far off after I return. :(

However I have told my manager that I'm not taking my laptop or company cell phone with me. Only he will have my personal cell number if it's important enough to contact me.
