I'm finally thinking about Jet Hot....

since I have the Mopar long headers sitting since last year, I'm thinking about putting each on a suitcase next time I come to US (hope soon ), ship to Jet Hot, get 'em done, and bring 'em back.

I'm not sure how long does it take to get them done and if it possible to coat since they are used, just a little but used.

How long did you guys wait for?

Send them to me, I will get them done for you and you can pack them for the trip home...or I can send them to you. That way I will be sure to get to see Lu again!

Check the shipping costs...if you put them on a boat both ways, maybe it won't be too expensive.

You might also want to check with Jet Hot to see if there is someone on the continent that has licensed their process...or maybe you can become the guy that starts that business for Europe!

As I recall, the turn around for me was about 8 or 9 days.

Jet Hot is just down the street from me here in Arizona. Walkins get priority however you are more than welcome to ship my way via cheap but longer service. I dropped off a bike header a couple months ago and it took 3 days.

Had mine wrapped for 18 months...heat in the engine compartment was terrible...no way I could get the temps for the intake under control. I am certain that the engine compartment temps dropped over 70 degrees with the Jet Hot process.

Everyone should coat their headers.

Sorry Tony, but what Calico Coatings does and what Jet-Hot does are two different things.

Calico does insanely precise ceramic coatings.
Jet-Hot uses a proprietary process that's NOT ceramic.

Though it'd be awesome to Jet-Hot pistons, you can't do it. It's a rough coating that's far too thick.
That's where Calico's ceramic coatings come in. It's not as heat-dissipating as Jet-Hot, but it's microscopic in thickness with good heat protection qualities.

On my truck:
- OEM exhaust manifolds: 625ºF.
- Jet-Hot coated OEM exhaust manifolds: 350ºF.
- Less than $500 including shipping.
- Less than 2 weeks, door-to-door.

Ceramic works okay, but won't come close to beating Jet-Hot when it comes to dumping heat.

My experience with Jet Hot was much the same as Kevan.

I did not check the before and after engine bay temps, but the difference is huge.

my headers for the 928 come from Jet-Hot... just a little minor quality point was that the thread for the O2 sensor was fully covered with coating .And it's really "hard" stuff, so you need to re-thread it , ofcourse it's a 18 x 2 ... something not common... so yes, to the shop... $$$

I have had two sets of headers done by Jet-hot. And both of them were beautiful and remained that way.
