kyle the outfit i run here in houston does a shit load of work for weatherford ,,,they have a huge outfit here in town ,,,you could try to get on with them and then work on getting transfered to houston or dallas area ,,,they do have great pay and benifits ,,,

and here and dallas has many diff job classifactions so if you can get your foot in door you would do real good with them

H&P is a very good company they are the leader in new rigs the "Flex rigs" do you have any rigs in your area? if so man go out and borrow a hard hat from somebody drive up to the location an ask for the toolpusher and then ask him if they need any help.. if they do then ou more than likely got a job if they don't leave your phone number with him..and don't give up when i first got hired i went to 27 diffrent rigs and the last one i went to i finally got hired

check out this website and give them a call it is our sister union operating engineers they are always looking for apprentices in either operating machines back hoes loaders etc or mechanic, also will you are going through there training they usually get you in a shop as an apprentice I don't know the scale out there but it won't be to shabby. Check it out the hal might be far from you but they probabally can send you anywhere in the state.
