Unbelievable is all I could call it !
Right place Right Time !
Just reacting to the situation !
Being aware of others and their state of mind.
It all started the past few weeks, a buddy of mine from Highschool and his wife had been acting a little funny. We have been pals for 30+ years as well as neighbors for the past twelve. They just had a child graduate from school and just really started to pull away from our family as well as others in the area. I am no Einstein....but this guy was up to something, when we would talk, he had no emotion what so ever.
Well as luck would have it I was off yesterday afternoon a little early and was sitting at a local BW3 ( Buffalo Wings & Beer Place ) I was not driving the truck...so I had a few beers. I look out in the parking lot and see my pal and his wife leaving the bank and acting stranger than usual. Sooooo the Columbo side of me ( Private Eye for the younger crowd ) decides to follow them. First thing I thought was why was Mark and his wife both off work, but after a short drive off the beaten path...my questions were answered. Mark parked his ride....now get this....in front of the local Ford dealership....he was gonna buy a frick'n Lightning that had taken in on trade a few weeks earlier. I just reacted as any of you guys would. I walk ...no I run up and I'm like what the phuck dude....what are you thinking....step away from the Furd, don't go to the Dark Side you dumb arse. I finally offered up a quick alternative, test drive of the Ford, then on to my house for a comparrison drive. Bottom line when the tire smoke cleared, he passed on the White Lightning, and is test driving a 04 Black RC today in Xenia Ohio.....I saved that guy, and By-God I feel good about it ! I doubt it will make it on the pages of USAToday....but I saved my best friend, and I'll drag his a$$ to the Nats to prove it.
