im sick as hell

there was a complany on the web that parted out vipers and other exotics. I remember a complete engine and tranny with eng harness went for like 10-13k. Sorry to hear about your loss but as tech myself we all know that after a major install like that you gotta be watching all the engine vitals and listening for any abnormal noises like a hawk..

well here is the verdict, we put my vec on a friend of mines truck this weekend, one that was wired by roe, used my card and ran the truck. it took about 30 minutes and 8 times under boost and the meth hung . i informed sean at 9 this morning. he is going to contact whoever makes the vec for him.

Nice, answers coming in!

by the way brite crawler the faggot was not at you. i am on here looking for help and along comes all of these guys with bullshit and i dont need it right now. everyone is quick to say install problems and this is a risk of fi. What i have been trying to say is it was not an install and it was not a risk of the supercharger , this was a component failure in the vec or meth. now i know for sure.

Understood man, and thanks for clearing that. I'll retract my previous statement.

I consider our hatchet buried, and I genuinely want you to get your truck fixed, and I genuinely want for these problems with the system to be understood for all!

Glad we're getting some answers bro :)

well this thing is not going the way that i had hoped. sean was supposed to call his supplier of the vec this morningand i did not hear from him for most of the day after calling and calling, i was told he was having computer troubles, so ok. when i finally did talk to him at 4:30 he said he would get in touch with them tommorow. i told him if he would pay for the short block and head i would do the install and asked if he would take the whole system back because i did not feel right selling it to somebody. i also asked if he had insurance as i do to handle things like this? First he said he could not afford to pay for the engine and never gave me an answer on buying the system back.I was willing to do all the labor and pay the machine shop to put the blank head together. i am trying to be fair but i feel like im being blown off. So if i dont hear anything by 2:00 tommorow i have an appointment with my company attorney. If there was an unfortunate incident with my company like this the first thing would be take care of the customer and then settle with the insurance or the company responsible.

neither here nor there....but...My motor went ape shit when my Split Second Controller for the Paxton got wet...Prof had an issue when his VEC got wet...The controller is now inside the truck (under the seat)...perhaps this is a good piece of insurance for everyone..

Pirateman, you really have a chip on your shoulder. I don't think Mike was saying that you had a wet Vec unit.

You need to chill. If Sean gets wind of you talking to your corporate attorney he will talk to his and you will have effectively cut off all communication...Seans attorney will instruct him to not communicate with you.

You are obviously not thinking, no one has ever had an issue with Sean. Your digging yourself a hole that you may not be able to work out of. Think and act like a business person. There is nothing personal in this issue it is something that needs to be solved by reason and discussion...you're not so artfully veiled threat is really stupid. If you are going to see a lawyer, and have them send the threatening messages...you are a rank amature at it, they make a living doing it.

Suggest you think before you hit the send key. You have already stated that you knew you had a problem and drove it anyway...that is discoverable, and will raise its head in the future.

I'm probably wasting my key strokes...but you have your best shot at the least amount of loss by working with Sean...not going to the "corporate attorney"...he will blow you off, because he has no idea what the law says about this and he is not paid to deal with private employee litigation.

My son-in-law will represent you, but he will want $10,000 up front. Work with Sean...its the best advice you will ever get.

there is no chip on my shoulder. I feel like im being blown off. I tested the vec on another vehicle that was wired by roe racing . It did the same thing. You know it is easy for other people to sit back and say i would do this or that , but until it happens to you , you dont know. I know how i handle my customers. Face it this is not a 200.00 fix.And as far as running the truck, i called sean first and he said there is no way i could imagine that much going in the engine. It is his system, he is the expert. All i want is what is fair. And i dont want to go down that legal road. But if i have no choice, then i will have to do it. hopefully sean will take the time to stop and end this situation.

Well i am glad to say sean just called me and is working on things. Nobody knows how glad i was that he did call. I feel much better about the whole situation just by talking to him.I know people get busy, i do myself, but just take 2 minutes and keep someone informed that you havent forgot about them.

Any idea yet why it did what it did?
Was it the a messed up Vec?

It was either the vec or the card. We put my box on another truck who roe had wired, used my meth card and 30 minutes later had the same problem. but we are making progress. I dont want a long drawn out problem lets just fix whats broke.

Are you going to be able to salvage the block with the hole in it?
Depending where the hole is, you might be able to get it welded.

The world is repleat with repaired alum. blocks that have been saved by a little care and some skill.

I am going ahead and finish pulling it out after talking with sean and look and see what the inside of the block looks like.

A lot of us have our fingers crossed for you.

Hang tough, stay cool...and consider forged rods and pistons! We need to make lemonade out of this somehow!
