Any member here that owns a Harley Road king or touring class, keep this in mind when doing your scheduled services to inspect or replace.

I started noticing a valve train noise. Needless to say, it sucks big time when your 4 to 500 miles from home when you start hearing your cam chain rattling aound.

Unfortunately I didn't discover this issue til it happened to me. It's not on the maintenance schedule. Since I'm a cheap skate, I do my own services myself, and didn't find out about it til I was on a long trip from home.

Just went over 52K on my HD, and really wished I would have been more aware of this issue with the bikes prior to 2006. Seeing I put around 10 - 15,000 a year on my bike, it something I don't want to constantly have to replace every other year.

S & S makes a gear drive unit that some swear by. anyone else knows more about them?

By the way, I like your Proverb Black1. Words to live by.
