I have bassani headers, jmb catless mid pipes, magnaflow exhaust. The truck is pretty loud which is fine. But it sounds more like a foreign car than an american muscle truck. Has any one tried flowmasters or anything else?

I have had 5.....FIVE.....different exhaust set ups....:D ....in the end a V-10 will never sound like a big block V-8....

the trucks that I have heard with your set up...sound as good as it is going to get...you should let someone you trust do a driveby in your truck with you on the side of the road...they sound better from outside....:D ...

btw the flowmasters will kill your power...

You have to remember that for every revolution of the engine you have one additional exhaust pulse. As Nowwhat stated, it will not sound like a V8.

Inside vs outside sound is vastly different -- to someone in a vehicle next to you or as you drive by them the outside sound they hear is awesome - let someone drive by you, If you dare :) as Nowwhat suggests -- you will hear the difference! If your Volant wasn't covered the sound these trucks make with open CAI in addition to quality exhaust is a head turned to anyone outside the truck - at least it is for mine

I have the B&B and love the sound. It is very deep. I have a fried that has an 06 silverado with Bassani headers and it sounds very raspy. I don't know if there is a connection though:dontknow:

the v10 sounds funny because it's actually 2 5 cylinder engines. they do not fire one cylinder at a time like a v8, our engines fire 2 cylinders at the same time which is why it sounds the way it does.

I am glad to read most seem to think your setup is one of the best. I have the exact same exhaust system ordered for mine...the reason I choose it was from researching old threads on this forum...:elefant:
