I know you guys are tired of me at this point, but I need your help again. I purchased the power steering line from JTS Performance, and a used power steering pump from off eBay. I got the truck back and drove it for about 1.5hrs. It was fine, but then I could tell that the power steering was starting to act up. So, I'm assuming the problem is the used pump, and not the new hose. Is there any place I can get a new pump or a recommendation on an aftermarket pump? Thanks.

I'm sure everyone is happy to help where they can!

Did you try Tony to see of he has those or can recommend someone. I have no idea but maybe our trucks use the standard Ram pumps?

Good luck and there will be some answers for you soon I'm sure!

Thanks. I will give him a call on Monday to see. I read one post on another site that says possibly use the same as a Viper car, but I didn't see anyone confirming it.

After a quick search the 8.3 lump definitely uses a viper specific pump. Id be curious to see if they are similar to the 5.7 ?

@Kiwi SRT10

I believe just replaced his , he will chime in soon :D
I think he posted about his on another thread !

We never get tired of posts on these trucks or heck about anything hahahaha !

Same pump as a 2005 jeep, different reservoir is what I was told but haven't checked.

I'm assuming you filled it slowly and turned wheel back and forth slowly to make sure all of the air was purged?
Also turn the ac on as the fan runs off ps pump and needs to be on high to get air out of fan lines too.

Remember, between the ps pump, steering rack, fan and ps cooler it takes a little bit to clear all of the air

Is the reservoir removable on the Jeep specific unit ?

The AAE 7145N is what I bought. It is a jeep one as the pulley has one less groove and different diameter.
Just buy the pump and fit to your reservoir with a new seal between them

I replaced mine with this one, comes with new pump and new o ring. You have to swap out your reservoir tank and pulley. Other than that it’s good to go.

We do not get tired trying to help our 10 brothers, there are plenty of PS pumps on ebay and oem. Also try X2 builders out in Granite IL they got plenty of 10 stuff. Also Cleveland Pick apart they specialize in mopar parts too.

If you cannot find one I can call some of my folks if they have stuff around.
