Pabst Brewing is about the only big brewer left. :dontknow: Miller is owned by a British company.

The Shiner Brewing Company ( Family Owned, located in Shiner, TX ) is up there close to the Big boys. they Produce 500,000 bottles a day...does that count as big?

Their Bock and Hefe beers are the best IMO

If I'm gonna be honest I have to admit that for the most part Mexican beers are my favorite. I drink a lot of XX, and used to love Simpatico when I could find it, which has been a long, long time. Pacifico is good, hell I like most Mexican beers, other than Corona which must be Spanish for skunk hehehe.

Rolling Rock was always a favorite of mine, but they sold out a while back too.

Dos Equis RAWKS!

I truly hope that they don't mess with the parks. Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) is a really nice place to go. It's been voted the most beautiful theme park many consecutive years. It's a damn shame our country and it's icons keep getting sold off bit by bit this way. We have become too dependent on other countries and lost our ability to be self sufficient.

I was happy when they did not accept the first bid. Now... Time to switch to Coors or Miller!
Absolute BS!:bs:

Miller is foreign owned, phillip Morris sold them off a while back

I don't drink alcohol so that doesn't matter much to me but what does matter to me is I hope they still want to keep their quality the same. My Dad and I are plant technicians at Praxair in Pekin, IL. We make some of the cleanest liquid carbon dioxide in the world. We supply Anheiser-Busch with the co2 for their alcohol. We have a catox system that takes out N-Pentane which is something most beverage manufactures don't care about. But Bush says when he drinks it he can tell if it has more than 100ppb of N-Pentane (N-Pentane is part of what comes to us in our raw gas stream from MGP among much other things we have to take out before it gets liquefied)in it. He claims it gives him a headache. The plus side to this is Coke (among other beverage manufactures)gets CO2 from us and they are getting a cleaner product also. So what I am saying is I wonder if the new company will find it worth it to spend the extra money to keep our CO2 or will they go cheap and go to some undercut carbon dioxide plant.

I guess I can understand the outrage....Can someone please direct me to the thread of outrage when another Middle Eastern foreign interests bought the Chrysler building in New York City last week...I am curious to see who posted on that;) :D Once Jr. switched rides Budweiser sucked anyway :p

Well... According to what I've found.... No. :p SABMiller (now the second largest brewer in the world... and owns Miller BC) produces 5.6BILLION Gallons (216 Million Hectoliters (1 Hectoliter = 26.4172052 Gallons)) of beer per year. (Now, I suck at math but.... ) According to my calculations, that equals about 160,273,979 12oz bottles per DAY! They did $18.6 BILLION in sales last year, and they have 67,000 employees.

That's a LOT of F*CKIN' Beer!

The selling off of our country is happening a lot more than we are aware of.

After reading the article about the sale, I find the Budweiser commercials piss me off pretty good. They tout their "American Beer" and Patriotism knowing that they are sell-outs. Pathetic. I never have been able to drink AB beers, but you cannot argue that they were almost as American as apple pie, sadly I have to agree that we will be seeing much more of this in the near future. :(
