Incredible E-bay story

Popular Hot Rodding May 2009, this month. Has a article about a 1963 Pontiac Tempest Super Duty car. It said that the owner had recieved the car as part of deal that included a load of scrap and he was going to send the car to the crusher. One problem, there wasnt enough room on the truck to send it. He then thought, what the hell put it on E-bay and hope for $500.

Little did he know it was a original 1 of 6 421 super duty aluminum front end Tempest with only 3165 miles. It had been written about in books stating that its "whereabouts were unknown".

The starting bid of $500 reached $226,521.63.

Talk about Ultimate barn find.

did you hear about the guy in wisconsin that got 17 trailers jammed packed of gm stuff. Hes opened like 7 so far and already got a yenko camaro, 4 chevelle LS6 cars. tons of BBC motors that customers asked to have removed and be replaced with small blocks. hell let me go find out.

I dated a girl a while back who told me about her uncle who had a Rambler tucked away in his old barn. Of course being a AMC guy I had to see it. I went and checked it out and had a feeling that it was a 69 Rambler Scrambler. I pulled the VIN and it is, I asked him if he knew what he had and he told me it was a Rambler American. The Scrambler is a ultra rare version of the American and one of the Ramblers that every AMC guy wants to have in there garage. He has had at least a dozen people tell him what it is and he wont believe anyone. I asked him if he would sell the car but he wont. The problem is he has a bad ass son who does nothing but get into trouble and I heard that this kid tried to burn down the barn including the car. Kinda pisses me off that I know the car will be destroyed by somemeans and there is nothing that I can do about it. I forgot to mention that the Uncle is a drunk and a asshole. Hopefully someday I can get it somehow.
