Sprang a new leak. Power steering fluid leaking from the bottom of the steering column. Not the hoses or connections but gushing from the bottom. Not able to see from the bottom are there seals that need replacing or does the whole unit need replacing. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I've search high and low for the proper rack seal kits for our trucks as mine constantly was blowing the Teflon seal on the high pressure lines running to the cylinder. I was not able to find the proper seal kits.

Just install a reman unit and get the alignment done, that's my suggestion anyway.

You can get new reman for around $200 plus labor and alignment. Best route IMO and I agree with above, no luck on seal kits. 3 year free replacement warranty on reman as well ;)

You got the right info posted above Shorty. It's the only way to go currently.

done and done---$190 for the rebuilt unit and $227 labor. I'm just too old to be messing with this and to get to Scott would take 12 stops and 3 gallons of brake fluid. Did my front brakes and rotors and serpentine belt----that's all folks. Getting her done this afternoon.

Thanks to all for the help.
