ok my friend owns a 2009 jeep srt, He wants to put 24's on it maybe 26's down the road. I myself think it would slow the jeep down a bit due to more rolling mass and weight, Anyone else want to share good or bad thought's about that. I love the rims that he picked out but think it will defeat the purpose of the truck. rims are about 125 pounds more than stock. Also would this have any effects since the jeep is awd. I just want to see what everyone has to say. :marchmellow:

I think the stock rims are nice....but it would be nice to customize also....truck is still gonna haul ass either way:D

From someone that had 26's on their truck and went to 20's. They look great, but make the truck slow as shit.

I think 22" rims is to big on our trucks. 24" or 26" on a Jeep srt 8? . He gonna put spinners on them too?:dontknow:

125 extra LBs rotating? ...the stock wheel look great...the larger wheels do not look good IMO and they are going to ride harsher..:slug: ..

IMO... It will definitely slow the truck down, and that would be a waste of an SRT 8. As well as make it look like a horse drawn carriage or chuck wagon with those huge wheels. Jeeps aren't very big SUVs like Tahoes, Expeditons etc, so 22s should look big enough on a Cherokee if you ask me.

Here's a cardomian page with a Laredo with an SRT body kit. It has pics of it on 22s, 26s, and even 28s! I don't know how you can steer with anything bigger than 22s. It looks cool, but it must be a hassle to maneuver, and a shitty ride on those rubber band tires. Good thing its just a poser SRT.

What is stock size? 20"? I would stick with stock or 2" over and that is it. It will be slower with 125 lbs of additional unsprung weight.

Norton gave me a warning that the site was unsafe listing it as a computer threat. It let me open it though.

Oh Snap! It didn't give me any type of warning. Open at your own risk I guess.
