Yea over seas they have lots of roads like that. I've been to Italy several times where they have something called 'Strada del Sol ' ( highway to the Sun) Equivalent of the Autobahn. I was cruising once in my uncles 62 Caddilac at around 120 and people fly by like your standing still. Scary

This is more like it. IMO, special driver 'competence' testing would need to take place before anyone was permitted to drive on this road as well. Definitely NOT a public road!

There are a number of legal races on closed public roads.

The Silver State Classic was one of the first. If I buy that Cobra, I know I'm going to run it next year. Skip that, the year after with my work assignment. Anyway it would be blast.

talking to a friend of mine, he was telling me there is a group of investors buying up land to make a toll road from the east coast to the west coast (of florida)...if all goes well, the toll road will have no speed limit.
