Insulation under hood...

The worst thing under the hood is the shitty insulation. I have trimmed my firewall insulation and it still looks shitty. The hood insulation sucks ass too. I know why it is there BUT can these heat monsters get by without it and not f'in up the hood paint or something under the firewall? I dont see how it would be worth replacing the firewall stuff without a BIG hassel. What have you guys done under the hood?:dontknow:

just rip it off(hood liner that is). it'll be fine. lots of us have done it and nothing has happened. mine has been gone for over 15k miles

What about the firewall or "under dash" insulation? It is hanging down on top of the intake...No way to get it to stay up OR is there?

my firewall insulation was drooping a little so i punched a couple of small hole in it then ran zipties thru and around the wiring harness running across the firewall to support and thats been working for me

I was just looking at my hood insulation last night thinking about removing it....what is the best way to get the push in tabs out without damaging the insulation? I want to keep it.

I took the firewall insulation off 20,000 miles ago and no problems..

What about the pice of insulation/padding under the wipers in this pic, as you can see it throws off my engine bay cause it's discolored.

This ok to remove? Or does it need to stay for heat issues?
