Hey guys, I searched around and couldn't quite find what I was looking for, so here it goes:

How much do you all pay for insurance? I'm inquiring about it as I don't know if insurance will kill me if I get a 10. I'm just 18 - young compared to the lot of you - and plan on using it as a daily driver, although with not too many miles.

Worst case scenario, I may get an X-Runner. ;)

Have you considered a bicycle?????

I'm paying about 1200 a year with the 10 and the wife's pimped out PT, we have a rider on her car to help cover the cost of custom parts, paint, everything else.

Well, no, it's just that most everyone here seems to be at least middle-aged. I could completely wrong here, however.

I know, I'm just cautious about what I say sometimes.

As a side note, does anyone use a 10 as a daily driver?

I remember getting an insurance quote on one of these trucks when I was 23 or 24 and I was looking at paying about $150/mo. So I would expect you to pay at least that man. And if you're using it as a daily driver, you'll be paying a good chunk of cash for gas alone. Especially with prices creeping back up:mad:

I'm 23 and I pay about $300 a month for full coverage on the 10, and my DD(Ford Escape).

That's throught USAA with no tickets or accidents... ever:) .

I was using mine for a everyday driver till it blew. It doesn't get but about 12 mpg, Hope you don't have far to go.

i'm 25...and i have one accident and a lingering wreckless driving ticket...

GMAC commercial auto policy with the truck, 02 grand cherokee, 02 windstar, 06 trailer...full cverage on all of them, 50/100/50 limits is $2,800/ yr.

and yes, i put 50+k miles on my truck over the past two years...lots of those pulling the trailer...running about 65k on her now

insurance

I am over 40 and pay around 850 per year. Took a LONG time to clear my license to make this possible. I drive mine EVERY day no matter what.Ice(oh yes) snow a few times and had to pull an empty tractor trailer to bump start it (the tractor haha). I guess I put the daily in the daily driver!! Woo Hoo!!
Oh yes I still love my truck!!

if you get an 04 shant its considered a reg ram truck, that year is the cheapest on insurance, about $400 year here,
the srt modle was on considered an option in 04, so that would be your best bet , get a quote on a reg ram 04 model in your area

an dont blame ya on being catious, these ol farts are like 70 year old men at a toppless titty bar... he he he

im 20 and have usaa and pay around 140 a month and thats with my wife as the primary driver cuz i have some tickets but its also being in florida my agent said it will go down alot when i move to idaho
