My apologies for throwing out my solution. The only write ups I could find was on the other forum for our trucks. That forum had several different write ups and none accessed the inner bolts in the way we are talking about. Venomous, nice idea with the socket. On the back two bolts for me, I got lucky and got one with a crescent (it was half stripped) and the other was just missing (along with about 6 other bolts). I'm just going to skip putting those ones back in.

I'd locate the bolts you're missing as a potential vacuum leak may have existed because of that? Nothing special about them, pick them up at a parts store on bolt section.

I have bolts that fit, I just don't wanna out in the two impossible ones. If I have an issue I'll figure something out. I'm just never going through that again.

Im glad i read this, because i am kinda new, and i am replacing my wires and plugs, and had no idea there were inside bolts that need to come out. All i could see was the 6 on the outside.
5 inside and 5 outside, did this recently and was not as bad as I thought. This is what I used for all the inner bolts and wrapped the extentions with electrical tape to not damage anything. Got the long torx bits from Harbor Freight tools. I did replace all the OE intake and valve cover bolts with SS 3/16 allen head bolts and washers, much better look. Good luck, you can do it!!!!!!!!
