I have a great can on my 45 USP that is so quiet (wet) you can shoot it in the yard and the neighbors won't know, sounds like a bb-gun.

I have never had any luck with cans for rifles, they do muffle the sound, but the supersonic crack is almost as loud... have you heard the rifle cans your buddy makes?

The MP5 9mm auto in the pic link in my sig....was extremely quiet you could only hear the bolt slapping back and forth and # 3 green on the golf course was less than 100 yards away----no one could hear a thing---also a M16 9mm was just as quiet---of course the wipes had to be replaced pretty regularly.....

The m16 9mm with a wet can and subsonic ammo is quiet just like that, you just hear the click of the bolt bouncing:D .
