Interesting question on RC and QC exhaust fitting

got an interesting question pm'd to me.

I know a ton have used the magnaflow on the QC, and they only list one part number.

so does MBRP, so this is my question....

On the QC's and the magnaflow did you use the oem pipes behind the convertor pipes?

In other words If I remember correctly the only difference was a shor section of pipe to connect the mids to the cat back, and you reused the ones that came factory?

i am gonna call MBRP tommorrow jsut to double check for the customer, but its been so long since I installed a QC system, I kinda forgot

that is correct tony. you have the midpipes, then there are the extension pipes which you use, then the catback connects to the extension pipes.

Oky doky, and ya reuse the factory extension pipes right?

The M/F I got from Roe had the extension pipes in the box. I had them replaced with 3' pipes locally because they are 2.5" from M/F, seemed kinda dumb to go from the 3" mids to 2.5" extension, back to 3" at the muffler. Hope this doesn't confuse it more.

Just saw this post, I have JMB 3" mids on the way, can you do whatever
so I will not have a bottle neck also.

they do not use the oval tips, called this morn.

and on the extensions, they have not had a QC in there shop, so they could not say yes or no if it would fit.
but we talked a good while and after there understanding my hillbillydom english they said it probably would

but in your case to stay 3 inch you may have to have a set made up , since I think the oem pipes are 2 1/2

Yessir its on its way, it will take she said 3-5 to get to me due to crossin the boarder of canada, but as soon as it arrives I shall beller at ya
