Just want to introduce myself as a fellow performance truck enthusiast. I love the styling of the SRT-10, but don't make the bank to afford one. However, I do own a 03 DSG Lighting,...(Here comes the flaming). I was lucky enough to catch a brand new one on eBay back in 2003 at a STEAL of a price... which I think got the internet saleman fored for selling it way below price. :D I have no intentions of being a troll on here, seen a few of you guys over on our board and I like to converse with fellow enthusiast so I thought I'd sign up here.

Welcome to the fray!

Thanks for your service to our great country!!

Here is a few pics of my Lightning. I took these right after I smoked the old rear tires off the back. As you can tell I take real good care of the exterior... I use Meguiers NXT to keep it looking nice!:D
As far as mods, I have a Ported Eaton, #6 Lower, NGK-TR 6's, E-Fan, Bassani High Flow mids, Bassani cat back, Traction bars, dropped about 2 inches in the rear, (DIY)ported stock throttle body, Diablo MAF.ia, Airaid CAI, painted the stock rims and a few under the hood parts, with a dyno tune by James at RWTD. I put down 427RWHP/491RWTQ on a humid, 95* day. I think that I can squeeze a few more ponies out of it in the cold though.
I haven't ran it for times with the new mods yet, it was way too hot when I came back form Iraq in March and the couple of times I did run it, it was on a #4 lower and a canned predator tune...blew the tops off of a few Denso IT-22's and almost jacked up my engine, but now that I have a dyno tune this thing HAUL's ASS with a quickness.
If I had to guesstimate... I would be in the 12.4-12.6 range, a buddy of mine ran 12.6 on slicks with 407/500 to the tires. I know a guy who ran a 12.2 with similar mods but the track prep was great where he was.

You you're saying your stock. Cool;)

Nice Burnout pics! Dontcha hate the way the bits of tire stick to the wheel well? :D

HELL YES!!! I will be doing this again pretty soon, because I just got some cash to get the front tires replace...so... this time I will have some good still shots of my burnout instead of doing a video. Or, maybe both since I just got my wife a new camcorder with a hard drive.

Nice looking truck.

I got the JVC model, 30G hard drive and about $300 cheaper than the Sony. I would like to the sony, but they only had the JVC model at the Marine Corp Exchange. This cam is nice though, I love being able to shoot and load direclty to the PC...no more cd's or tapes! Thanks for all the compliments guys and gals. Will make sure to drop some cheap shot remarks on your rides too lol...j\k.
