iphone users help?

ok , got a couple buddies that are stuck on blackberries but I sometimes need to IM them.
now Iphone dont support IM, and dont communicate with BB messenger system due to the pins or rim?

but I noticed a few apps that will allow the iphone to IM with others.

but what I need to know , is there an app I can download to my iphone that the blackberry user will not have to download that will allow me to IM the person with the blackberry.

and if you have used it, and how well it wworked,

bleive me I know but with the IM its instant yata yata and dont cost per text, which I have unlimited text, but evidently they have unlimited IMs

lolol Allready checked that deal I have to have a blackberry and service on it, leave it beside the computer and take my iphone iwth me lOL,

I heard of whatsapp and aim, beejives,and a couple others , but dont really know if I can be the one or if both have to download

if i'm not mistaken you can use AIM...but the blackberry messenger is ... just what it says... FOR BBERRY's.....so...

text is virtually instant, btw...and it's not a damn bit different then IM...

even i know that...

but i'm part of the cult
