Or has the media lost all respect for the office of the President?

It started during the Clinton years, in that occasionaly they would refer to him as Mr. Clinton, not President Clinton.

It seemed to get worse during the Bush Presidency. A couple times today as I listened to the news on the way home, they referred to President Obama as Mr. Obama. While I don't agree with his views, he is still the President and should be referred to as such.

Anyone else?:dontknow:

I still refer to past presidents as still they are the president. But the media has no soul, they dont care who they put down. They are their to spread bs and make everyone feel inadequate. I saw a bumper sticker that said the news media is americas number 1 enemy, that cant be more true.

John the media has no respect for anyone, or any official office. They are nothing but bottom feeders.

True dat! ;) I was shaking his hand when he said "It's nice to meet you Sir". Some people said I should have squezzed his hand and put him on his knees but there was a strong Secret Service presence and I didn't feel like getting shot that day.

I sometimes listen to democratic opposition radio and they rarely refer to him (Obama) in his full title. But that's to be expected when they don't like what he's doing.

Your right John....

I noticed it also

I know exactly what you are saying John, and it's not just the media. And it's not only when talking about politicians. Respect seems to be a thing of the past in this country.

It has. I'm not sure why. Without the President about half the media would be without a job.

The Media.....

It's all about the money and not the truth

Walter, where are you, we need you

Its a general decline in respect across all segments of society.

I thought it was the younger generations, but Django seems to belie my hypothesis, but I still love him, and would fight for his right to say whatever he wants...I just don't like it.
