After reading through this thread I was wondering if worn out plugs and/or wires would affect actual engine performance? I know it can cause misfires and such but can it actually rob some HP?
Is it possible to fry your plug wires?

depending on how you drive, depends on how often you should change plugs.
for instance on mine to stay on par, I need to refresh the plugs every 1500-2000 miles.
and to the extreme on my race bikes I changed them every weekend.
