I just wanted the dang truck, what color it was was almost irrelevant to me. A collector might pay that dough for it, but someone who might put 10k miles a year on it won't.

The VCA's sold to Viper owners were manuals. There were specially built automatic versions built as pace trucks. Indy requires their pace vehicles to be auto. It would be nice to get your hands on one of those. Anyone have any idea what became of the pace trucks?

I am not even sure they can sell the pace trucks. I read once that they dont recieve vin numbers or some other Fed #.
