Is the "Scoop" Functional?

I have something coming that I think will work to help vent heat from the engine area, and its made by Chrysler Corp.

I should have it next week, and then I will post it.

The scoop allows heat to leave the engine bay. Cold air is drawn in from the lower part of the front airdam. Blocking it up will add a tremendous amount of heat to the compartment.

This sounds plausible but what about some of our members blocking the hood scoop area with the ROE SC filter?:dontknow:

:hmmmm: What would look hot is having vents professionally cut into the hood then going ahead as planned with blocking the original one. :idea: I have some plans for my hood as well but I cannot divulge that information at this time. I'm certain it would proove formative to say the least.

I thought that as well. I eventually want to find some GTS/ACR heat extractors and mold them into my hood. . . .

SHHHHHHHHHH!!! Someone may snatch that idea, absconding with it to their lab then WhAMMM!! GTS/ACR heat extractors as far as the eye can see..:dontknow:
