If you need to be quiet but want to go all beast mode every once in a while what you need is a couple of electric cutouts and a wide open throttle switch typically used for a N20 setup. Put the cutouts after the headers and before the cats/mufflers, set it up with a 3 position switch so the cutouts can be always open, always closed, or running off the WOT switch.

Did you like them? I've never actually used cutouts but the setup I described above sounds ideal.

Of course I love loud. I daily drove a 4.0 Jeep open headers for 2 years.
