Is this a scam?

Fellas,

I have found someone on another forum selling a bunch of nitrous components. On this forum the guy joined Jan 27, 2010 and only has 4 posts. 3 of which are on his ad for these parts. I have picked out 4 pieces that I want that when new would cost me $1700 here at home to purchase them. So he will give them to me for $540, and then only charge $60 for shipping and he will cover the rest of the shipping. I would assume shipping will be around $100 for what I want. He also stated to not worry about the 3% paypal fees. He has sent me pictures of all this stuff via I-phone and things look great. His e-mail also ends in @cyber-rights.net.

Am I being paranoid? Is there anything in the above that anyone else has come across that seems fishy?

If its all good then its the deal of the year for me, but I dont want to be out $600 either.

Get his phone number and talk to him, and feel him out. I recently bought an Alter K suspension, rack and pinion, and disc brake kit for my 68 Dodge from a member of another forum. Shipping from CA to OK was only $100,

He wanted a money order, not pay pal, or CC. Needless to say, before I was going to send anyone much money in a money order. I was going to exchange some words first. If he not willing to do that, he doesn't want to sell it that bad, and to me not worth the risk.

The trouble is that I am not a active member on this forum either and I dont know anyone. Is there any kind of protection using Paypal for this kinda stuff?

As stated from other members on here.... I would call and feel him out. I would also ask him if he's willing to do a pick up. Even if you're really not going to.... If he says yes to all of those things then you should be ok. He kinda sounds legit already since he's already sent you pics via cell phone. If he doesn't understand your concern then he's really not worth buying from..... What kinda kit you gettin' bud?

Its not a kit, its a super cool dual bottle mount, 2 bottles, and remote bottle openers.
