is this bad ?

I took out my tranny to replace a bad slave..I notice my input shaft has a bit of play. I just want to know of thats normal or if its bad....here is a little clip ..

I havn't had mine apart yet but..the tip end would sit in the pilot bearing at the end of the crank and stablize it so it would not matter.so if the bearing isn't making any noise or feel rough when you spin it, i would leave it . Take it to a good tranny shop you trust and have them assess it.

I got about 8000 miles on it after the rebuild ....it shifts fine, no noises...

it's only got 8k and doing that? how much are we talking about a few thousandths, or a 1/4 inch? it's hard to tell in the vid...

Well I took the tranny to two shops and they both said it was fine ....but when I went to put it together I notice a hair line crack on the bell housing .....****....does anyone have one that they are willing to sell....

Yo E if its just a hair line crack and you weld it the welded area is gonna be stronger then the rest of the bellhousing lol. I had to weld mine on my auto tranny(was a little more then a hair line crack. Welded, grinded, sprayed a little aluminum color paint and you cant even tell it was welded up
