That this place is only 7 (?)months old. I got thinking about everything that has gone on here in such a short time. Alot of us came over from the NFF site, and Patrick and Jack started this place. I am greatful for their hard work, and dedication in doing so.
This place has become my second home. I am here reading way too much, when I should be out washing my truck, or feeding the kids, or working..lol
I have met some really great people at the various GTGs I have gone to, and at the Nats. While I encourage everyone to go to a GTG when you can, I would tell anyone that can possibly make it to go to the Nats in Ohio this coming August. I went for just a day last year, and met some of the greatest people. Stinker, BeGood, Bone, Eddie, Boomer, Doneo, Mikey, NBT, Iltempered, Kevan, the list goes on..It was just really great to meet everyone. I hope even more people show up this year. It would be great to see some of you West Coast guys come out. Red, Jack, Nowhat, Silver, SD, Wifey, etc, Please consider making it out to Ohio.
The postings on the site run the gamut from the highly technical, to the highly illogical, to the highly confusing. There isnt a topic that is not, or has not been discussed. While there is no possible way that everyone will agree on everything, at least we have a venue to share ideas, thoughts, and ramblings. You may not agree with what someone is saying, but it doesnt matter. I may not have the technical expertise to add anything worthwhile to a discussion, but I get to learn a bit about my truck, and dream of what I could do to improve it, or make it different.
Most of us agree that we own the baddest truck on the planet. Some of us think we have the best, fastest, etc. Not everyone will agree, and there is always someone who will be faster, moddier, etc. I personally could never afford to do a huge build on my truck. To me, my truck is the best one. Because I have it. I see some of the trucks on here, and think mine is a peice of crap compared to them, but I still love driving it.
I guess what I want to say in all of this is thank you. Thank you all for letting me be a part of this forum, this family, and your lives. I feel honored to be part of this and you all have opened my eyes to many different things.
Since Christmas is almost here, I wanted to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. You all rock. Thank you.
Matt
PS: Sorry if you think I am Rambling. Sometimes the thoughts in my head do not transfer well to the keyboard..
