Well, there I was....87 miles into my 500 mile new clutch break-in drive when a Mustang GT pulls up next to me at a traffic signal. It had a body kit, big wing and loud exhaust. :dontknow:

I took off very gingerly, not wanting to upset the break in of my new clutch. I saw him look over and I JUST KNEW he was going to do it, lol. :p Well, he did...he took off hard and looked back at me, like haha. :D But I didn't give in to the temptation. I wanted to hammer the throttle SO BAD. I had to just let him go.

A guy in a Mazda pulled up beside me after the Mustang left. He looked over at me and raised his hands and shoulders as if to say "WTF..you just gonna let him get away with that?" :dontknow:

I could go for months and not get baited. 2nd day out on my new clutch and it just had to happen.:) I have got to get those 500 miles on before I go crazy.

dude ,,,,I would have nailed it ,,,,,,but really I have destroyed many GT,,,so really there not worthy compition unless they are modded

I agree. It wouldn't have been much of a race. He needed to get crushed anyway though. :D

i'm in the same boat w/ ya....187 miles so far!

I think you can stab it but between shifts you have to be careful....no power shifting yet!

I hate Rustang GT's. You did the right thing IMO. Chances are you will have many more opportunities to dump your clutch. :burnout:

Tim think of your truck like Derrick (Lbstone) Poundstone.......6.1 313.5 lbs 7% bodyfat...... a really big strong powerful machine.......you just cant beat up on everybody whom flexes their muscles at you..........right??? Well after the clutch break in you can!!! LOL

Smart move! I made the mistake of not waiting and the clutch only lasted about a 1000 miles.

Remember, proper clutch break-in means longer clutch life. I think you did the right thing.

Hey Ricey... How are you gonna run at Moroso if haven't broken in the clutch yet? You better get off your arse and get in your truck and start driving you only have 4 days to get that clutch broken in.

I heard it is good to get on it a few times during the break in!
:burnout:

I know NBT did!;)
