HOLY CRAP!

Who'd have thought that taking the wife to the drags would have turned out to be like this!

The wife and I finally got out to the strip yesterday and took her TT Vette for several passes and SHE'S HOOKED! I was stoked about the experience, but the wife went absolutely nuts.

We ran until the new clutch toasted. (There goes another 2k in parts and labor! Time for a twin disc Exedy! ) She was so bummed out about the clutch failure that she wants to buy a race car just so we can get back to the track! Matter of fact, we put in an offer today on a turn-key ride that runs 9's all day long without any power adders!:burnout: Stay tuned.

We did okay for our first time out too. I got into the low 12's, and she got to the low 13's. Here's some shots I got of her, including her first time slip.:D

Looks like a family affair now............. Nice.

D

That is actually the coolest thing about all of this.

If we find that we really continue to enjoy this, we envision getting an RV to go to more events on the west coast. We haven't spent nearly enough time together in our 20 years (on the 16th! :D ) of marriage.

How about a 9 second certified race car for an anniversary gift?
