It was Exotic Engine Development..... BUT, they stated they wanted the motor back (hence, figure out the issue... resolve the problem). You can't ask for better service than that! Especially when dealing with something that has never been done before.   This reinforces other statements of reputation I've heard.... They are very good, and stand behind their product. :congrats: EED will get it figured out.

Haha, it didn't completely clear the dance floor, lol. :D :D :D

Sorry for raising any suspicion with Marty, Justin's dad. I thought maybe Marty from KRC Performance had his hands in it. Thanks for the clarification ViperTruck2933.

Yup, Tim got me straight too...I was thinking someone else...but was totally off base.

Well, let's face it. These engines are one of the more picky of modern high performance engines, and we're pushing them much farther than intended on a daily basis. Were we dealing with a BBC, we'd know a lot more about what it takes to make big horsepower reliably. Safe to say, anything not done perfectly in a high performance Viper engine build stands a very real chance of causing significant problems.

...so here's hoping my builder did it right.;)

We risk destruction for the thrills of performance...good trade in my opinion.

yeah...what he said...

otherwise, we'd all be driving around in the same truck...just different colors....and it would be only up to driving ability...what fun would that be?:D

Who was the builder of your motor Eric:dontknow:

Damn Jack, sorry to hear about that. I know you've been anxiously waiting for your truck back. I hope they get you your engine back soon!

His name is John Edwards (JZB Engines). I was referred to him by Todd at Arrow, as Arrow was busy with the Gen IV engine (and other projects) at the time. Some of the crankshaft machining, line boring/honing, and the dyno testing were still performed at Arrow. John spent some time building engines for Bobby Archer's racing team a few years back, so he has a good background in building reliable high horsepower engines.

He was pretty reasonable, and aside from waiting on a few parts and the machine work, did his portion of the work in a timely manner. The engine turned out some nice numbers, especially given that we had dropped the compression ratio, and were running a stock intake, fuel system, and engine management.

John also built my engine!

I loved his approach, gave him the green light to do what he felt was right and am totally satisfied with the end product.

He was an Eagle Scout...that is always a good thing.

sorry to hear about your motor Jack. she will be better then ever when she gets back.

marty from KRC had nothing to do with Jacks motor, it had less than 300 miles on it, absolutly total leakage past the rings,

dont know the prob as of yet, jack is still waiting for the engine to be pulled and ssent back to exotic to be checked to find out the problem.

Jack is very very ill at the moment, alot of things havent gone well lately as well as his health, he is in very bad shape, actually hasnt been out of the house in a couple weeks.

If you havent noticed he hasnt even been on the forum .

with all his health problems at the moment , this problem with the engine has just made it worse, now all he is able to do is wonder what could be wrong with the engine he jsut spent 40k on:eek:
