My Mopar Long Tubes have been jet-hotted and installed. The guys doing the install also put on the heat wrapping.

Question: Do I need BOTH? If at all possible, I'd like to take that heat wrapping off as soon as possible.

If I take the wrap off, do I need to re-route any lines under there?

Thanks in advance.

Ya i would not have spent the money to jet hot if i was going to wrap them. But i would make sure the spark plug wires where up & out of the way in the factory holders or aftermarket.

Lose the wrapping.
Make sure the plug wires are clear of the tubes. While cooler, they're not THAT cool. :)

i have mine jet hot coated and its fine and no color changes eather. just the jet hot will do plus the heat wrap just dont look good once you open the hood to show off the power of the viper motor.

+ After some time the wrap will cause rust.

Just make sure nothing touches the headers that can melt.

Bill.
