Anybody know what the warranty is with Jet-Hot coatings? My headers are coated just over a year. When I was changing my oil lines I noticed the coating is bubbling and flaking off the headers. Any one else have this issue. I thought Jet-Hot was suppossed to be one of the best out there?

I have JH on my stockers .NP for 12k miles

I got the Extreme Sterling coating which was supposed to handle 1700F degree temps. I can find my receipt but not the pamphlet with warranty info. Just wondering if anybody has the information on that before I call them. I am pretty pissed because they are coated on the inside too and that means that crap is going into my cats.

I went to their website and all I could find was a statement about a Unbeatable Warranty, whatever that means.

just came from their site also. could have sworn they had it posted.
have had 4 sets of headers done no probs.

no one is perfect. guess thats why there are warranties.
be interestin to hear what they say though

Probably wasn't applied at the correct temperature...that's why it's bubbling and coming off. The product is good, just a bad job applying it. :(

I can understand that. It is the fact that I have to take the headers off, drop off the headers, wait for headers, and then do reverse. Irritating!!!!

Hopefully they will stand by their product then and recoat them at no cost.

with some labor reimbursment???????

Yeah Right. I would be shocked on that one. Maybe free cup of coffee.:D

I looked at the dealers on JetHots site. The place that did mine in King of Prussia, PA is no longer listed. Hmmmm???

just wondering. did it turned green??? we have had the high temp turn green before it started flaking.

Lifetime rust-through warranty.
Not sure about "poor initial application", but I would guess they'd correct it.

On the collector flanges of your manifolds/headers they engrave your order number.

Here are pics of what it looks like, no green, just missing. Appeears to be a gray coating underneath what is flaking off. Undercoating of some type? Plus I see rust on them as well. Any thoughts appreciated or if anyone has seen something like this before.

Hey Chris, just a thought but when when you got your headers were they just stainless steel,no coatings? were they used ? and did you get a reciept directly from Jet Hot when you got them back?

The headers were stainless, not coated, and not used. Brand new out of the box.. Were put on the truck for about a week, taken off, and dropped off to be coated when I became aware that without a coating things would start melting. I have a work order from when I dropped them off. All I could find. What ya thinkin Joe?

I was just woundering if you dropped them off at Jet-Hot or had some other place send them for you, just that Jet-Hot has such a good rep that maybe they were done somewhere else??:dontknow: ,just a thought Chris.

I personally dropped them of and picked them up from the facility in King of Prussia, PA. Guess I just got a bad coating. Guy must have been hung over that day:D

OK,I'm sure they will take care of you, just sucks taking them off and on.

I had jet hot coating peel on a motorcycle mid pipe. Being in phx, I had Jet Hot itself do the initial coating and it was no questions asked getting it handled. They never asked for a receipt. They apologized and had it back to me the next morning.

If the shop you had do the work is no longer I'd suggest contact JetHot directly and not an authorized dealer.

I contacted Jet-Hot via an e-mail. Thanks for the insight, helps a bit knowing they should take care of it without a problem. Like Joe said, bites having to pull them off, get them re-coated, and then re-install. You pay good money to have something done, you expect it to be done right the first time. Now I have a bunch of work and driving around to do because of a mistake I didn't make.
